Following the needs assessment, the committee unanimously recommended providing immediate shelter support to Bibi Alana Komba, whose living conditions were critically inadequate. Construction of her new modest residential house officially commenced on 25 September 2025. By the time of handing over the structure to the beneficiary, the project had cost a total of TZS 9,227,10/=. The house now provides Bibi Alana Komba and her dependents with a safer, cleaner, and more dignified living environment. The implementation of this initiative demonstrates the Archdioceses of Songea’s continued commitment to living out the spirit of mercy, solidarity, and compassion. Through collective effort, parishes and Caritas Songea have not only improved the dignity of vulnerable families but have also reaffirmed the Church’s mission of preferential care for the poor. Continued support and engagement from the faithful and Archdiocesan institutions remain essential as similar needs still exist across many communities. The success of this project stands as a testimony to the transformative power of coordinated pastoral and social action within the Church.
