This section is responsible for implementing various projects that aim to contribute towards increased income and improved food security and food sovereignty among smallholder farmers through linkage of smallholder farmers to opportunities such as market and marketing information, agricultural loans and inputs both local and improved varieties, promoting sustainable agriculture practices, livestock keeping and gardening. The agriculture section is also in charge of programs that target advancing sustainable consumption and production patterns including post-harvest handling and storage.  Projects under this section additionally focus on the protection, conservation and sustainable management of natural resources
